We wanted someone that could cut it out, install a new one, and then replace the brick (using a combo of new brick with the old). Turned out exactly as we had hoped, if not better. Thank you!

Cory and his associate installed a new wood-burning insert. They both wore booties and placed tarps over all carpet in the family room to protect my flooring. The install took over three hours, and Cory gave me a tutorial for proper operation and safety requirements. Great experience and great company to deal with. While there is a good deal of work that needs to be done to get our 70-year-old fireplace working again, he explained everything to me and offered to be available by phone for additional questions later, which we took him up on. I had him use the side door because of a wasp nest near the front door. He even offered to spray the nest for me before he left. Top notch.

We had a very pleasant experience with Butler Chimney! We recently bought our house, and before we even closed, we had called out Butler for a repair quote on our chimney, as it was noted in the sale it was not functional. They were so pleasant and quick to give us a report and pricing back, which helped us get money back on the purchase of the home in order to repair the chimney. The communication with the office (Amanda) and Corey after the quote, to set up the work, was great! They made sure to keep me in the loop the whole time and were constantly making sure we had no questions or concerns. During the repair, they found chimney swifts and nests. After learning they are endangered but their poop can be dangerous, I slightly panicked (because I have a 4-year-old), and after some wonderful communication and reassurance from Corey about handling the cleaning of our chimney once the swifts have vacated it, I feel 1000x better and grateful to be working with such a wonderful team! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

We could not have asked for a better company to do our job! We had an intense chimney fire. I had other chimney companies come out to give an estimate, and none of them did the work that needed to be done. BUT, they all recommended a company that would, and it was Butler Chimney. That kindness only continued with the rest of the people I talked to in the office, and all the guys who came out to do the job, including Corey himself. We had them come out this summer to do a cleaning and inspection, and it turned out our chase cover was leaking. We needed a custom cap, and they replaced it and cleaned the fireplace. Butler Chimneys is the reason that we were able to move here from Oklahoma. The house we purchased had a dilapidated, leaking chimney that needed extensive repairs, and the seller did not have the funds to repair it. Working with Corey and his crew, along with the girls in the office, we were able to coordinate a solution to satisfy the seller, the lender, and us, the buyer, to achieve the goals of having a safe fireplace and weatherproof roof. The old wood-burning chimney was replaced with a gas unit, and the roof repaired after closing on the house in a timely fashion for us to avoid any liquidated damages assessed by the lender. As the work was completed, it was found that one of the fireplace logs was cracked, and they issued a warranty claim and installed the replacement promptly. This real estate transaction had no way of going through without Butler Chimneys coming to the rescue.

I’ve used Butler on several occasions and have been very happy with their work and the quality of the people. However, I did run into an issue with work they had done on a new chimney lining insert. I ended up having smoke from a fire in the fireplace not drafting up properly, and to be fair, we have an older home that presented some unique challenges. I called them and explained what was going on and received a call back from the owner, Corey, and he said they would come out to troubleshoot it. What impressed me was that there was never any question about me needing to pay for the fixes. Lastly, all the people I’ve dealt with, from the office to his team in the field, are responsive, respectful, and some of the highest quality people I’ve ever worked with!

I live in Elm Grove, and we have had a terrible weekend of snowstorms, power outages, and subzero degree weather. We had 2 gas-powered fireplaces installed by Butler in our home in 2022 when we bought the home. We had a power outage for 4 days at -6 degree weather. Our only saving grace was our 2 gas fireplaces, which allowed us to heat our home, likely saving our pipes and allowing us to stay there. The owner responded to my question via text about continuous use of the fireplaces within an hour on my inquiry. Cassie was also so helpful during this time of anxiety! I honestly felt so good about our decision to put in those fireplaces to heat our home!!! Thank you to the Butler company/family and their help!!

We consulted three chimney/fireplace companies, all of whom recommended a complete redo to ensure safety and efficiency for our wood-burning fireplace. We worked with Butler because they presented as the most knowledgeable and professional. Our project was top to bottom, inside and out. It included tuck-point repair of the chimney, installing a custom-fabricated full chimney cap, installing a chimney liner and damper, re-parging the smoke chamber, and installing an Ahrens firebox. One wrinkle to our project was chimney swifts that had nested in the flue above the old damper. We had to wait until they vacated and migrated south. That put the job into the fall when Butler had a busy schedule. Luckily, we had a window of good weather in November and Butler fit us into their schedule. Kudos to the Butler team for a job well done. This is specialty work and they were up to the task. They kept in touch every step of the way. Now we have a safe working fireplace for the holidays.

Fantastic experience through the whole process. From inspection, going over options, having multiple quotes sent over right away that we could review and choose from, having our old insert removed, ordering a new insert, and installing the new insert and chimney liner. Interacted with 5 different members of their team during the project, and everyone was great. Responses were quick; they either had an answer for my question right away or got me an answer to my question in a very timely manner. As a homeowner, finding a company like this is a blessing, because I know for as long as I own this home and/or live in the area I won't need to search for anyone else for chimney/fireplace work; they will be the only place I call for any future needs.

Corey took the time to talk with me in the beginning about the alternatives for getting the chimney in tip-top shape. He was open and upfront about pricing from the beginning, and he held true to his pricing and work. I called for a chimney cleaning and Corey came out and did a thorough inspection, and due to the age of the chimney (118 years), it was not lined and could not be cleaned due to not meeting current NFPA code. We talked options and I chose a fireplace insert. Corey and Cassie answered all my questions and were prompt with installation! Now my family can enjoy our fireplace and have the added efficiency of an insert; it's like having a second furnace! Will definitely be calling Butler for all our fireplace needs!

I had Corey and his assistant install a Vogelzang add-on wood furnace and line my existing chimney two weeks ago. The unit is great and I couldn't be happier. Butler Chimneys was prompt in all contacts and appointments and very professional. The installation went great, and in a little over half a day it was installed, tied into my ductwork, and the chimney lined with stainless steel and insulated. Wow! And that was after he spent the morning driving to Illinois to exchange the liner that had been delivered incorrectly. You get a heck of a day's work from these guys. They were both easy to get along with, friendly, and Corey did a great job explaining my new unit, its features, and the how-tos of it all. And the price seemed plenty right to me. I'll be having them back for my future servicing and a stove install in the next phase of my remodeling. Highly recommend!

Butler cleaned up my very unusual Rais rotating wood burner centrally located between two rooms in the home. The cleaning was professionally done, timely, and without a mess. They informed me during the cleaning that the original installation of our exposed vent pipe was done improperly and posed a fire risk. Since learning this from Butler, we are reinstalling our pipe correctly, and the pipe/fireplace look nice and clean now, all is good!

Several items needed to be repaired on our chimney as found in a home inspection for the sale of our home. Corey Butler presented a proposal for CrownCoat, tuck-pointing, flashing, and installing a larger stainless steel liner. It appeared to be reasonable, so we had Corey Butler proceed with his repairs. He squeezed us into his busy schedule so that the work would be completed prior to closing. Also, during his work, he discovered that not as many tiles had to be removed to make a larger flue opening, so he reduced the price a corresponding amount. Appreciate his honesty about that. Corey’s work and timeliness were outstanding.
