Owner Corey Butler leads with a hands-on approach, personally seeing jobs through from start to finish. Our technicians are CSIA-certified, so every inspection and repair is performed in accordance with the Chimney Safety Institute of America’s national safety standard. We handle the full scope of chimney and fireplace work, from sweeping and inspections to relining, masonry rebuilds, smoke chamber repair, new fireplace installations, and gas or wood inserts and stoves. Every last Friday of the month, the entire Butler Chimneys LLC team leaves the field for a full-day training session covering safety protocols, technical procedures, and hands-on field work. We’ve opened these monthly sessions to other chimney and fireplace companies in the area, which is rare in a trade where most training happens behind closed doors. The reasoning is straightforward: when the whole industry gets better, homes can be safer.
Every Tuesday, our team meeting includes a dedicated hour on a focused topic, whether that’s a code refresher, a safety standard, or new technical guidance. Training isn’t something we squeeze in around work. It’s built into how we operate. For homeowners, that means the technician arriving at your door has been learning consistently, not just when a certification renewal requires it.
